2017 Law Enforcement Torch Runs







For over 30 years, Utah’s law enforcement community has been supporting Special Olympics Utah and individuals with intellectual disabilities through the Law Enforcement Torch Runs (LETR).  At its most basic level the Torch Run is an actual running event in which officers and athletes run the Flame of Hope™ to the Opening Ceremonies of local Special Olympics competitions and State and National and World Games.

2017 Summer Games – June 2-3, 2017 – Utah County







Special Olympics Utah’s 2017 Summer Games will be held in the Utah County area on June 2nd – 3rd.  Nearly 1,300 athletes and Unified Sports partners will compete during this two-day event and will receive support from nearly 500 coaches and hundreds of day-of-volunteers. Competition will be held in the following sports:

  • Athletics (Track & Field) – Provo High School
  • Swim – Provo Recreation Center
  • Softball and Unified Sports® Softball – Footprinters Park

2017 Polar Plunges – THANK YOU

We at Special Olympics Utah THANK YOU for your support in 2016. With the help of sponsors, donors and volunteers, over 1,700 athletes from around Utah have been able to participate in sports training, competitions and other programs. SOUT also provided more than 1,000 screenings at Healthy Athletes clinics during 2016.

2016 Fall Sports Classic

On October 14 – 15th,  nearly 1,000 athletes and Unified Partners from across Utah will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals and ribbons at state games at the University of Utah and Rose Park Golf Course in Salt Lake City. The Fall Sports Classic features aquatics, basketball, bocce and golf along with the Motor Activities Training Program (MATP).
