Donate in November to the 2016 Fall Fund Drive

We at Special Olympics Utah THANK YOU for your support in 2016. With the help of sponsors, donors and volunteers, over 1,700 athletes from around Utah have been able to participate in sports training, competitions and other programs. SOUT also provided more than 1,000 screenings at Healthy Athletes clinics during 2016.

What makes Special Olympics Utah unique from other local sports programs?

1.) Our focus is to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities.
2.) Athletes compete at no cost to them or their families.
3.) Athletes compete with other athletes of similar ability in equitable divisions.
4.) We offer Healthy Athlete Clinics that provide free screenings and exams to athletes and Unified Partners — services that may not be otherwsie available to our athletes.
5.) Special Olympics Utah changes attitudes and encourages inclusion, respect and understanding of those with intellectual disabilities.

Participation in sports shifts the focus to what an individual can do!

Through the sports training and competition offered by Special Olympics Utah, individuals with intellectual disabilities develop motor and communication skills, discover new strengths and abilities, and experience the joy and satsifaction of meeting a goal.

Our athletes become accepted, valued and independent members of the community. The impact extends well beyond the playing fields and into classrooms, the workplace and homes where our athletes have become more effective students, employees and members of society.

Please help Special Olympics Utah prepare for a successful 2017 with a tax-deductible gift and join us in changing lives of people with intellectual disabilities.
